The San Antonio Flood of 1998
Streets
By detouring to San Marcos, I was able to get back into San Antonio. The next
day I went out to see what the flood was doing.
The drainage system was so overloaded that water was gushing
out of the manholes as you can see here on San Pedro Avenue.
This pavement had been ripped up by the current and deposited here on the
curb. This location is behind the Central Market supermarket in Alamo Heights.
